Welcome to Plan That Trip - a platform designed for practical travel planning. Whether you're an experienced traveler or embarking on your first adventure, we're here to assist your planning process. Build itineraries, collaborate, and enjoy the convenience of centralized travel organization.
Concepts
Locations are the central component of Trips. By adding locations to your Itinerary, you'll provide the basis for attaching more information and enriching your plan. The Map and Calendar provide alternative ways to visualize and update your itinerary. Use the Idea Board to keep track of all your trip possibilities prior to updating your itinerary.
Once you've outlined your trip, you can start adding Activities, Stays, Expenses, and Attachments. As your trip is refined, the Budget and Alerts can start providing useful information to inform your decisions. Ultimately, you can add as much or as little information as you'd like - whatever suits your planning process.
Navigation
Plan That Trip offers multiple planning views. Switch between them with the controls in the upper left of the trip planner.
Basic View
The basic view provides two panes. The left pane lets you switch through different trip information, like your itinerary, budget, etc. The right pane is your map.
Expanded View
The expanded view is composed of one or more panes. Each pane can display information about your trip. The number of panes you'll see depends on the screen size of your device. At the top of each pane are several navigation icons that will switch the content of the pane. You can choose what is displayed in each pane to suit your planning process.
Highlighting
When multiple panes are available on a desktop device, mousing over locations, activities, etc, will highlight their representation on other panes.
Collaboration
Sharing your trip will let other people plan along with you. Two or more people can work on the trip at the same time. The trip will automatically update when anyone makes a change. You can also work together on Notes in real-time.
