Locations
Locations represent a place you'll visit. These can be an address, point of interest, or even a city. You get to decide how specific your locations are. If you pick a specific geographic point, they'll appear on the Map. Locations are linked together by Legs, which represent the transit between locations.
Adding locations is a key part of the planning process. Locations are color-coded throughout so they can be easily recognized. Once a location is added, you can specify Activities happening at the location. Activities can have their own address or coordinates, though not required. The same applies to Stays.
You can add a variety of information about each location:
Place
A place is a specific geographic location. As you enter text, you'll get suggestions. You can select one, or use your own text. You can also use the coordinate picker to choose a particular spot on the map pane. If you know the coordinates for your location, you can paste them directly.
Name
Normally, the name of a location is the place. However, you can supply your own location name to customize your itinerary.
Nights
You can indicate how many nights you'll spend at each location. Adjusting nights for a location will automatically push subsequent unpinned locations accordingly. If you only plan to be at a location during the day (not staying overnight), set the nights to zero.
By assigning nights to your locations, they'll appear on the Itinerary and Calendar.
Times
If you assign times to your locations, they'll appear on the Itinerary.
Expenses
Expenses can be associated with a location. These expenses can be anything - a hotel bill, entrance fee, and so on. Any expenses associated with a location will also appear on the Budget summary.
Attachments
Documents can be associated with a location. Any documents associated a location will also appear on the attachments pane.
